Summer is upon us. On both the east and west coasts the water is warming up. Sailors are enjoying time aboard whether a weekend sail, a planned voyage and some overnight anchorages during your summer vacation, or the chance to throw off the dock lines and get some serious mileage under your keel. Once aboard life slows down, the troubles associated with life on land slip away like the coastline on a broad reach and the ability to get back to basics and the simple things become routine. There is nothing better to take away the toubles, cares, and concerns that a little time on the water. It is a proven fact. Give it a try...it the best medicine for your soul.

I dream about being underway all the time. Even though I spend the lion share of my time on the hard. It's nice to follow other people's adventures and dream about being underway to some exotic port, secluded anchorage, or favorite destination. If I can't be aboard, its nice to day dream about being aboard. When you finally get the chance, like we did last month, to visit Belize and sailing with friends out of the Moorings Charter base in Placencia the good thing about sailing is that being "on the water" is better than day dreaming about being on the water. Try it. Water Therapy works...
